Step #1: Dust. Dust building up on your vents and fans can cause damage over time, so the best thing you can do is get rid of it. Before you grab a duster, though; there’s a better way: soak a paper towel in a little bit of rubbing alcohol and ring it out (disinfecting wipes will work the same way).
